"LIVE AT BLOSSOM" - NOW ON DVD!
DVD $19.99 PLUS $2.00 Shipping and Handling
In 1981, Donnie Iris and the Cruisers were privileged to open for the Michael Stanley Band’s record-setting litany of concerts at Blossom Music Center (our friend, Michael Stanley and his then band, the Michael Stanley Band, still holds the attendance record for a single concert event over consecutive days at Blossom Music Center). The concert was released on VHS several years ago. Soon after the concert ended, a fledging company called "MTV" launched. MTV needed content. Donnie Iris and the Cruisers had an emerging album on the Billboard Albums Chart (“King Cool”) and a video of a rising song on the Billboard Singles chart called “Love Is Like A Rock” (culled from the 1981 Blossom shows).
MTV aired the video of “Love Is Like A Rock” relentlessly in the first few months of its existence. Experiencing Donnie Iris in person is the best. But experiencing Donnie Iris on video is a close second. To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Blossom concerts, a DVD version of the Blossom concerts is now available. Moreover, to marry the “old” with the “new,” the 2006 Cleveland Cavaliers Girls helped the band celebrate the DVD anniversary release of the Blossom concerts by participating in a new video for the new 2006 track “Little Black Dress” with the band (with clips culled from the 1981 Blossom concerts, 25 years ago).
Happy Anniversary! With special thanks to Director Tom Cummings and Editor Dave Rogant for converting the Blossom concerts to DVD and for the clever marrying of the old with the new in the “Little Black Dress” video. And, the “Little Black Dress” video (featuring the 1981 Cruisers and the 2006 Cleveland Cavaliers Girls) is included on the DVD.
